I missed you, daddy.
I know we never really celebrated birthdays even when we were altogether at home.. but now that we're all apart, I regret that we never took the pleasure of enjoying each other's company and celebrating birthdays. but I really did just miss you yesterday. I know that a birthday for you is just another year. but with each year, I realize how much more I could've done for you. It seems like birthdays are more sad than happy. But since being all sad like this is retarded.. I have discovered how much you love me. No matter what I've done.. you've still come out to support me and encouraged me. Even when I've strayed from "the plan", you've prayed for me and was able to have patience and the courage to let me go.
Thank you, daddy. I dunno what I'd be, where I'd be, who I'd be without you.

보고싶은 아빠,
이제는 가족이 함께 모여 생일을 축하하지 못하게 되었네요. 우리가 모두 떨어져 살고 있기 때문이죠. 우리 가족이 함께 서로의 생일축하하는 시절을 그리워합니다. 아빠! 어제 어빠가 너무 보고싶었어요. 아빠 생일은 이제 내년을 기약하네요. 매년 저는 아빠를 위해 무엇을 할 수 있는지 깨닫고 있어요. 생일이 행복보다 슬퍼게 여겨져요. 내가 무엇을 하든지 . . . 아빠는 여전히 저를 지지하시고 있으시고 격려하고 있음을 알아요. 심지어 제가 '계획'을 실행하지 못해도 아빠는 저를 위해 기도하셨어요. 인내하시면서 저를 언제나 격려하시지요.
아빠! 정말 감사해요. 아빠 없이는 제가 무엇을 하고, 어디를 가고, 그리고 어떤 사람이 될 수 없을 거에요.
